What does “Sobre la marcha” mean…?

Sobre la marcha is not just any Spanish expression; it’s a philosophy of life that I love to bring into my lessons.
It’s a deeply cultural phrase that captures the Spanish mindset quite well: it’s that carefree, relaxed way of doing things, stress-free.
In Seville, for instance, when you go out for dinner with friends, there usually isn’t a fixed plan. In fact, if someone were to ask us where we’re going, the answer would be a lovely: «Vemos sobre la marcha» (we’ll see as we go). No rush, just enjoying the moment.
Bringing this philosophy into my lessons means that learning a language doesn’t have to be a stressful or rigid process.
What’s more, it can be a beautiful, fun, and natural journey. Here, we don’t move forward under the pressure of reaching goals with impossible and unnatural standards… In our classes, we will enjoy every conversation, resolving doubts on the spot and building fluency and confidence step by step, at your own pace and without complications.

The heart and mind behind this project.
My passion has always been languages and connecting with people. After graduating in Translation and Interpreting and in International Relations, and having experienced firsthand what it means to learn and communicate in a different language and culture, I discovered something I love doing: helping other people lose the fear of speaking another language and guiding them through the cultural adaptation process.
In my lessons, we won’t memorize endless lists of vocabulary (as I am convinced of their ineffectiveness), nor will we rote-learn senseless grammar rules. Don’t get me wrong! I’m not saying grammar isn’t important, but I believe it’s essential to understand the reason behind it, to get to its root, so your learning process is based on understanding rather than mindless, mechanical memorization. My goal is to help you build real, functional Spanish with the fluency you need to handle your everyday life.
By the way, I understand what you are going through. I really do. I used to struggle a lot with English when I was in high school. In fact, I was never good at it. Do you know what helped me break my mental block? Besides reading and watching British and North American TV shows, I had a great teacher with a good method and patience. Don’t worry, and trust me, if I managed to learn English, you will learn Spanish.
